Thesis title: The poet Manolis Anagnostakis- Conceptual and museological planning for the implementation of walking tours in Thessaloniki trough the poet’s life and work

The theme of the master thesis is a Museological Design, at a preliminary level, of a cultural route through the city’s urban fabric of Thessaloniki for the poet Manolis Anagnostakis. With emphasis on the life and work of the poet a thematic path has been created, which reflects all the aspects of his multidimensional personality, focusing on his decisive presence and his activity in city, placing him in the broad political, social and cultural context and highlighting simultaneously his special bond with the city, his contribution to the cultural history and heritage, and also his enduring value as one of the most prominent and important spiritual figures of Thessaloniki of the 20th century. The purpose of the study is the detailed presentation of a comprehensive and implementable, as well as theoretically substantiated, proposal, both through in-depth study of the issue, and the understanding and application of modern theories and principles of Museology and Cultural Management. The work is divided into two parts. The first part is the theoretical presentation of the biography, the entire work and the theoretical-literary issues about the poet Manolis Anagnostakis. This analysis is an attempt to condensate the voluminous literature and its presence in the Modern Greek Literature. This theoretical part concludes with a brief presentation of several aspects of Cultural Tourism, Cultural-Literary Routes and Contemporary Museology’s theoretical background and methods. The second part puts focus on the design proposal itself, a cultural path for the life and poetic work of Manolis Anagnostakis in Thessaloniki based on all the theories and provided tools of Contemporary Museology.
