Andreas Andreou is Professor of History and Culture education in the Department of Primary Education, University of Western Macedonia, Greece. He had studied Classical Archaelogy, Ancient History and Byzantine Studies in the Universities of Mainz and Heidelberg where he obtained his Ph. D. in Classical Archaeology at the University of Mainz. His research interests are on history education, local history and museum education, Public history, topics that he teaches in pre-graduate and post- graduate courses. He is the author of series of books, edited books and scientific articles on the above research areas. He is one of the coordinators of the module Museum Education of the Interuniversity Postgraduate Programme in Museology.
