Εvery 18th of May our students and staff celebrate International Museums Day organizing the by now famous “interpretative activities” across town in collaboration this year with students of film, architecture and electrical engineering from other Departments at the Aristotle University. Historical, archaeological and artistic research on monuments and historic places at Aristotelous street in Thessaloniki is presented in original narrative performances, new media shows, guided walks, and visits. Also, this year being dedicated to the life and work of the famous poet Manolis Anagnostakis, his residence is included in the interpretative walks.
The interpretative walks consist of six monuments-stations. People are welcome to visit up to three stations. Walks start at every half past hour from 10.00 to 14.00, last almost 30 minutes. Information is offered at the info box, on Aristotelous Square.
Participation is free of charge upon prior reservation for the exact time of each monument-station.
Groups cannot exceed the number of 15 for each monument-station. Priority will be held by date of reservation .
