This study describes the views of Thessaloniki museum representatives on the importance and use of the Internet to museums and the characteristics of their museums’ websites respectively according to their communication and educational policy.The case studies which are described ascertain the awareness of the people of museums in the callings of the Information Age and denotes the transition from the spatial and material museum to the intangible museum, the museum of the ideas and images that can have global reach.
